Jan Burnett Qualifies for Recertification of her
Certified Professional Secretary Credentials

Denton & Keuler, Attorneys at Law, wishes to congratulate Jan Burnett for recently meeting the qualifications for recertification of her Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) credentials. The Paducah-Kentucky Lake Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals will honor Jan on June 15, 2004.

The CPS rating is the achievement of the internationally recognized standard of proficiency as a professional secretary. In 1993, Jan achieved the distinction of Certified Professional Secretary, a mark of excellence in the areas of Finance and Business Law, Office Systems, and Administration. In order to qualify for recertification, a candidate must acquire 120 Continuing Education Credits in a five-year period by attending educational seminars and workshops and by actively participating in International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) chapter activities. Jan's recertification demonstrates her continuing professional growth and excellence.

"Professionalism doesn't just happen. Being a member of a professional organization has helped me grow professionally, continue my education, and network with other administrative professionals," said Jan.

In addition to her involvement with IAAP, Jan is an active member in the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc., an active member of the West Kentucky Community and Technical College Office Systems Advisory Board and the Paducah Technical College Advisory Board. Jan also serves on the Administrative Board of Trinity United Methodist Church.
