Partner Lisa H. Emmons
Honored as a Life Fellow for the
Kentucky Bar Foundation

Partner Lisa H. Emmons was recently honored as a 2005 Life Fellow for the Kentucky Bar Foundation, Inc. (KBF).

The KBF Fellows Program recognizes those members of the Kentucky Bar who through their generosity in contributing to the KBF have shown support for its mission. The program is designed to build an Endowment Fund that will be the cornerstone for funding KBF's grants in future years.

The KBF has given $541,257 since 1988 to agencies promoting justice and law-related education for Kentuckians. The KBF has at times also developed its own projects toward this mission. Foundation support has positively affected lives and the administration of justice through programs that include:

  • educating children about law and the justice system
  • helping teens-at-risk and children in court
  • assisting abused women and children
  • explaining legal issues and rights for the elderly
  •  providing mediation training
  • addressing law-related needs of persons with disabilities
  • enhancing services to crime victims
  • providing funding to various CASA programs
  • preserving legal history
