David Denton, a 35 year Rotarian, was honored as the Club's Rotarian of the Year. Dave was described as a catalyst for change in the community, who helped the effort to build Paducah's Engineering School, among other critical projects of importance. He is a past president of Rotary, as well as GPEDC and the Paducah Chamber of Commerce.

His list of community involvement activities and successes are too numerous to list, but he was praised with this statement, which sums it up, "He thinks outside the box, speaks his mind and charges ahead."
