Area volunteers came together in
support of United Way of Paducah
and McCracken County’s annual
community investment process.
With the new community investment
process, programs are funded
that address three local focus areas
adopted by United Way of Paducah
and McCracken County: education
and care of children, strengthening
families, and emergency assistance
and crisis prevention.
Each year in the early spring,
United Way recruits approximately
50 volunteers to serve on one of the
three panels. The panels are teams
of 12-16 people who are assigned to
one of the three focus areas of need.
Community investment chairmen
are Caroline Korte, Raymond James
Financial, and Jamie Broome, Immanuel
Baptist Church. Community
investment panel co-chairmen for
2008 are John Durbin from Paducah
Bank, Christy Hagan from Paducah
Power and Carolyn Ramage from US
Bank, volunteers who oversee the entire
community investment process.
Members of the 2008 community
investment team are Becky Keeling,
Brenda Richardson, Brent McKown,
Cherry Brown, Cindy Ragland, Dianne
Samsil, Ehab Marji, Farrah
Stewart, Faye Pittman, Felix Akojie,
Gale Hatton, Gretchen Brown,
