On November 13, 2006, Melissa spoke at the Kentucky Association of Electric Cooperatives meeting. Her presentation focused on rates charged for joint use of utility poles between electric and telephone utilities and her analysis of a case addressing that issue which is pending before the Kentucky Public Service Commission. She explained to attendees how a negative result for the electric cooperative in that case could have a negative impact on the rate which electric cooperatives across the state charge to telephone companies for the joint-use of utility poles.
