Growing up the son of a high school vice principal and football coach in the small town of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Tom Keuler learned early on that success came only with discipline and hard work. Back in those days, concepts of commitment, perseverance, and achievement were much more than topics discussed in self-improvement seminars. These were expectations.
When Tom arrived in Paducah to join Dave Denton in 1977, those concepts came to define the firm. Whether the challenge was in the form of representing businesses and banks in structuring acquisitions; representing and defending businesses and insurance companies in matters relating to personal injury or products liability; or simply providing advice on legal matters, the goal was always the same– to win. That same commitment, perseverance and achievement remain guiding principles of the firm today. |

Over his 30-plus years of practice at Denton & Keuler, Tom’s practice has gravitated in the direction of commercial matters. Historically, it has been Tom’s assignment to represent many of the firm’s commercial, industrial and banking clients. Tom has represented clients involving more than a billion dollars in commercial loans, acquisitions, and transactions. He has otherwise assisted these clients in their day-to-day legal concerns.
Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers, once said, “The quality of a man is measured in direct proportion to his commitment to excellence.” That simple principal has long been a guiding light in Tom’s professional career. To Tom, there is only one thing in life that really counts—the successful result. As narrow minded as some may find that idea to be, it remains his one true conviction. |
Tom’s all-out embrace of gamesmanship directs him towards many competitive endeavors in addition to the battles in the courtroom. His daily dose of physical training is a testament to a disciplined lifestyle and a means to maintaining his competitive edge as an avid biker. His love for the precision design, speed, and workings of performance cars mirrors a similar precision when applied to his profession. |

“One of the reasons I'll never be able to give up this work lies within my innate
desire to meet the enemy head-on. I really love the idea and the process of taking
up the challenge and going into the fray armed and ready to achieve a winning outcome. There is such an emotional kick to teaming up with clients, working out a game plan,
and going for the goal!”
