For many of the maritime clients that Bill Pinkston represents, the course is smooth sailing after Bill dives into the intricacies of such elements as insurance defense and defense-oriented litigation. Bill has long devoted much of his practice to the unique elements of admiralty and maritime legal work. Due to his in-depth experience with this industry and these types of cases, it is not surprising that Bill has developed an exceptional working knowledge of maritime law.

Before choosing law school, Bill was a journalism major at the University of Kentucky . The prodigious writing and verbal skills he honed early in his academic work and in his career since, provide the firm's clients with a talented communicator and
an ardent litigator.

Perhaps the smooth sailing that Bill works hard to accomplish for his maritime clients stems from his childhood love of the water and his life-long affinity for the wind and
the waves. Bill and his family have enjoyed sailing the open waters of local Kentucky and Barkley Lakes for the past 25 years.

“It was actually the nearby lakes that motivated me to come back to Kentucky after having been away for awhile. The love of sailing has no doubt also influenced my dedication to admiralty and maritime law. It's a rare and wonderful thing when you can combine two passionate pursuits.”
