On May 2, 2008, the LOHS Alumni Association presented a $500 donation to Lone Oak High School, intended to supplement the transportation costs of student clubs and organizations to competitions and conferences.
   
Clubs, conferences, competitions and fairs are an important, and fun, part of school putting application to classroom study. Required to use approved county vehicles and drivers, club members must share the ever-increasing transportation cost to and from these events. The Alumni hopes this donation will offset the burden and continue to enable conference participation.
  
Continuing to grow, the LOHS Alumni Association is dedicated to supporting Lone Oak High School, its programs, students and, of course, alumni. The transportation donation is just one avenue to assist the school.
